HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone now is the time for having fun and changing for the better. When this event comes everybody thinks of his or her New Year's Resolution which a quality, a hobby, or a tradition of yours that you want to change for the better. Say goodbye to 2014 cause 2015 is coming in so to us students make a head start by writing 2015 on your quiz or pad papers. Its also the time for having a new look for a new year or discovering something new, as for me, if you can see me on the streets I'll be rocking some new headgear, printed high socks, and maybe some shorts. In the Philippines it is said that it is lucky to wear polka-dot during January 1 cause the dots are said to resemble coins in Chinese tradition so wearing circular patterns or prints on your clothes can bring you good fortune for the whole year another tradition we Filipino's have is to jump at midnight on January 1 which is believed if you do so you will grow taller faster or get additional height. We also have the tradition of completing 12 circular shaped fruits, and like the polka dot thing it also resembles money so it also brings good fortune. 2015 is the year of the Goat or Sheep or Ram or whatever so to all here that are born on the year of the Sheep GOODLUCK. Well I strongly advise all of you to avoid or take great care of using fireworks for the New Year cause it is very serious here in the Philippines, kids and adults get amputated because of these fireworks so if you want to be safe better watch the community fireworks display you get to be safe and enjoy with others.
