Ninoy Aquino Day

Because of Ninoy Aquino Day we don't have classes today cause its a national holiday here in the Philippines. Benigno Simeon Aquino, Jr. or more commonly known as Ninoy is a national Filipino hero who fought for the freedom of the people of the Philippines against the Marcos Regime. He was murdered while getting of a plane when he got back from his exile from the Philippines which led to a big conspiracy at that time, he went back to the Philippines eventhough he knew that somebody wanted him dead. When senator Ninoy was being paraded across Manila to his grave many of Ninoy's supporters eagerly awaited the passing of their hero, everybody was crying because they feel that without Ninoy they won't obtain freedom. To commemorate the heroism of Ninoy the government issues a 500 peso bill with his face infront. Ninoy is known as the Wonder Boy of the Philippines because he was the youngest Senator in the history of the Philippines .Ninoy's famous quote "The Filipino is worth dying for." this quote awakened the spirit of patriotism inside me.
