Yellow Rice
Well its actually not yellow rice because its really corn made to look like rice. At first I thought that it was rice fried with some butter or Yangchow/Java rice but when I smelled it, it smelled like corn, and then I tasted it and was surprised that it taste a little bit like corn and then finally I asked my Mom what it was then she replied corn rice. Well you can call it Corn rice but its actually just corn that is from a special breed which people here in some parts of the Philippines that are already used to eating this instead of traditional rice which is a staple food for our country. This rice is very trendy especially for people who want to watch their blood sugar levels and want to be healthy and fit. Corn rice provides less glycemic index (GI) than rice. Corn rice doesn't need to be washed unlike rice, it doesn't have a weird taste apart from it being corn when compared to normal rice, it is very heavy on the stomach also which makes you slimmer and eat less. This rice is very popular also in Africa, there they call it Maize its like their rice also. So if you are here in the Philippines you can buy Corn rice form local supermarkets, I recommend to buy the Rico Corn Rice cause I have tasted it and it is great. So in conclusion Corn Rice (HOT @ THE PHILIPPINES).
