Mt. Banahaw

Last week me and my classmates went to Mt. Banahaw Quezon Province, Philippines for an educational and fun field trip. I had fun while doing the activities that was prepared to us by our tour guides and facilitators they all did a good job on protecting us and providing the knowledge and the laughs at every step so credits to the E.O.P. (Educational Outbound Program) team who guided us. On arrival we were introduced to very interesting people living near Mt. Banahaw, they have a different religion which they worship Jose Rizal (National hero of the Philippines), but they have my respect because of their care for the environment around them and their strong faith and devotion. We went to Husgado cave first, if you want to enter this cave be sure that you are fit and can squeeze through tight holes, luckily I managed to get through all thanks to my "Chubby" body. The next thing on our schedule is going up the trail they call "Kalbaryo" or Calvary in English which is the "Rizalistas" (People in Mt. Banahaw who worship Rizal) version of the mountain were Jesus climb and suffered and upon knowing this I knew that I'm about to loose 10 pounds which I did sorta', at the top of the "Kalbaryo" there are three crosses on which you can pray for your wishes and maybe it will come true (Reminder: Bring a large amount of water when climbing "Kalbaryo"). Our last stop was at the Ilog Lagnas were the water was very cold and clear, it is the pace were Rizalistas bathe to cleanse their sins. I really enjoyed this field trip eventhough its last chance because I'm graduating so encourage those who want to experience a different high, come to Mt. Banahaw. (HOT @ THE PHILIPPINES) .
