Day 5 Papal Visit Philippines 2015

(Photo from Newsfirst)

Sadly this is the day that Pope Francis will fly back to Rome after four exhausting days of visiting here in the Philippines and feeling the love of the people for him. As soon as the Pope leaves the Nunciature he is awaited by people twice as many than when he arrived here in the Philippines and luckily the weather was fine and sunny like it was a good day for the Pope but a bad one for the people cause they want him to stay bit more. The people were waving Vatican and Philippine flags when Pope Francis was passing them and shouting “Pope Francis”, “Bye Pope”, “Lolo Kiko”, and many more. The Pope was nearing Villamor Air base when suddenly the motorcade stopped because the barricades did not hold the people and then they all rushed to the Pope and also some of the human barricades joined in. The Pope is greeted by President Aquino at the Villamor Air Base.

The Pope will fly back to Vatican at exactly 10am this morning. As the Pope enters the runway and reaches the red carpet he shakes the hands of Bishops and Cardinals and other VIP members. As he goes up the top of the stairs to the Plane he turns back one more time to wave to the crowd. He leaves the Philippines aboard a Philippines Airlines plane which is named Shepherd 1 and even on the plane he still waves to the crowd. The people still wait at the tarmac as the Popes plane ready to take off the runway and return to Vatican. I hope the Pope returns to the Philippines. (HOT @ THE PHILIPPINES).

Day 4 Papal Visit Philippines 2015

(Photo from Rappler)

Today Pope Francis will conduct a meeting with the leaders, with the youth and, will have a mass in Luneta. The Pope will have a meeting with other religious leaders of the Philippines , he is very open to other religions and he does not discriminate them and before he goes to the Philippines he washed the feet of some Muslims, attended a mass at an Orthodox Church and he himself is the first Pope from the Jesuit order. After the meeting with the religious leaders he moves on to meet with the youth in UST. The Pope meets a child who cries infront of him as she tells what she wants to say to the Pope and her experiences as a child in the streets. The Pope is very fond of children as he kisses them very often and sometimes even stops for them to reach them out and also one of his guards picks a child from the crowd and brings it to the Pope.

The Pope teaches the children about mercy and compassion for others and to dream and love. The Pope moves on to conduct a mass in Quirino Grandstand which is his last mass for his visit here in the Philippines. The total of the People who attended Pope Francis’ mass is six million beating the past record of St. Pope John Paul II’s mass which is about 5 million people. Like the Pope’s mass in Leyte it also rained heavily but still the 6 million people did not go home although others were already soaking wet and instead did not mind the rain but they listened to Pope Francis’ homily, before the mass began Pope Francis went around the holding areas were the people were guided he did this to see them and wave to them. This is what the Pope has done for today and sadly this is his last activity for the whole visit because tomorrow he will fly back to Vatican and people are sad and will say goodbye to him tomorrow but Pope Francis has left a great impact in the hearts of Filipinos everywhere. Day 3 Papal Visit Philippines 2015

(Photo from Rappler)

Today Pope Francis is expected to go to Leyte to meet the Yolanda survivors which is the main purpose or the core of his visit here in the Philippines. Pope Francis is awaited by 150,000 thousand people in Leyte waiting for his mass, they have been waiting the night before the Pope’s arrival, they were all soaking wet because of the storm “Amang” which landed Leyte in storm signal no.2. Pope Francis arrived in Leyte and saw the people who were waiting for him eventhough it was raining heavily and they were all wet, but they were given yellow raincoats to protect them from the bad weather. Pope Francis led the mass despite the heavy rain and raging winds but the crowd stayed with him through the mass, and due to the heavy rain also Pope Francis was also given a yellow raincoat to protect him from the rain. After the mass Pope Francis went directly to the motorcade from Tacloban City to the town of Palo where he did that thing that the crowd loves the most he smiles at them and waves his hand and he stayed with the crowd eventhough it was raining heavily like God was giving Pope Francis a glimpse of what happened and what had the people experienced in the aftermath of Yolanda.

The Pope reaches the town of Palo and quickly blesses the Pope Francis Center for the Poor, then he passes the Palo Cathedral. He says to the crowd that it is the birthday of his number two which is Cardinal Pietro Parolin and then the crowd broke out a song of Happy Birthday for the Cardinal but the happy mood was later changed. Pope Francis was displeased when he was informed that he had to return four hours ahead of schedule due to the very bad weather or that their plane might not take off but the Pope apologized and led a prayer before zipping off to Manila. While the event was happening a 27 year-old female volunteer died because he got hit by a scaffolding but they she was only a child and a jet skids over the runway which holds the Cabinet members luckily they were all safe. This is what the Pope did today but sadly his trip was shortened by the storm. (HOT @ THE PHILIPPINES).

Day 2 Papal Visit Philippines 2015

(Photo from Inquirer)

Today Pope Francis went to MalacaƱan Palace to have a courtesy call to the President, upon arriving at the Palace he was welcomed with honors. Pope Francis was walking towards the entrance of the Palace when a woman carrying his child walked up to him and let her kiss her baby then other children started to come but he still blessed and kissed them all. Inside the Palace Pope Francis signed the official guest book and left a message which he encourages the Philippines and blesses it. The Pope gave an atlas to President Aquino and in exchange President Aquino gave the Pope a wooden sculpture of Mama Mary. Pope Francis gave his speech inside the MalacaƱan where he said that people should stop corruption in the Philippines.

Pope Francis rides the Pope Mobile to the Manila Cathedral to conduct a mass in front of 2000 priests, choir members and etc. this is the first time that the Pope will have a mass in the Philippines. The people in the street still wait avidly for the Pope and they were not failed because when the Pope passes them he gives them a smile and wave which lifts up their spirit and eases away their pain and sufferings and he still waves and smiles when he arrives and gets off of the Pope mobile. When Pope Francis walks down the aisle of the Cathedral all the other priest began taking pictures of him. When he started his homily he laughed when someone answered his question “Do You Love Me?” which he was only reading from the bible. On his homily he talked about love for everything, the poor which we must help to be rich and, the Filipino culture.

After the Mass at the Cathedral the Pope visits street children which are all under the care of Tulay ng Kabataan. After all the events in the Manila Cathedral the Pope went back to the Apostolic Nunciature to have lunch before going to the MOA Arena and then the rain started pouring along the way but the people in the streets were not scared because they still wanted to see the Pope. The Pope went to the MOA Arena to have meeting with the families, as he enters he touches children and kisses them and blesses them also. In the MOA Arena the Pope interacts with the families and he also learned how to say Thank You in sign language, the Pope also tells the Filipinos to dream and love which is very encouraging and inspiring. This is all he has done for the day and tomorrow he will go to Leyte to visit the Yolanda (Haiyan) survivors. (HOT @ THE PHILIPPINES).
